Dani comes from neon roots in Las Vegas, her grandparents ran a commercial neon repair shop in Sin City which her father & uncle worked for. Growing up she was trained to spot neon signs with the potential for them to repair. She studied Biochemistry and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2015, immediately after she moved to Los Angeles for a cosmetic laboratory position. She rediscovered her love of neon signage by driving through the streets of LA late at night. She became consumed with the thought of how neon signs were made and decided to seek out learning the craft. She received a tool box containing the remainder of her grandparent’s old neon bending equipment & started an apprenticeship under Juan Ortega. She is still learning how to be a proficient glass bender but is happy to finally find an area of intersection of all her skills & passions.
